A New Hampshire man is lucky to be alive following a brutal ordeal on Mount Adams.

According to a report on WMUR.com, Paul Luk, 22, of Weare, New Hampshire, fell 600 to 700 feet down the mountain on Monday after an ice slab broke free on King Ravine.

After a long, painful fall, Luk’s face was battered and his knee was badly injured. He then managed to crawl for 7 hours through the snow before finding Fish and Game officers near his car.
