Acadia

Two young girls who took a wrong trail in Maine’s Acadia National Park while hiking on Easter have been found okay and reunited with their family, according to an article in the Bangor Daily News

Park rangers received a 911 call just before 5 p.m. from a mother saying she had not seen her daughters since they had headed up the Bubble Rock trail two hours earlier, according to Ranger Jason Flynn.

The two girls — ages 17 and 9 — ended up taking a different trail than their father and brother, Flynn said, which took them several miles in the wrong direction.
