Back-to-back X Games gold medalist Bobby Brown, of Colorado, won the 7th annual Dumont Cup at Sunday River last weekend. Amateur freeskier Teal Harle and X Games medalist James Woods took second and third, respectively.

Brown’s winning slopestyle run earned him 91.6 points while Canadian amateur freeskier Harle earned a close 90.6 points. UK-native Woods earned 87.4 points. Cash prizes were doled out in $7,500, $4,500, and $3,000 purses to the podium.

Brown, Harle, and Woods were part of a group of nine professional skiers and 74 amateur skiers who came to the slopes of Sunday River Resort to compete in the two-day Dumont Cup – the largest freeskiing event on the East Coast.

Created by professional freeskier and 10-time X Games Medalist Simon Dumont, The Dumont Cup takes place each March on Sunday River’s newest 15-acre terrain park trail, T72, which was designed collaboratively by Sunday River, Dumont, and Snow Park Technologies. Dumont is also responsible for designing the event’s slopestyle course, which consisted of six rails and three large jumps.
