New Hampshire’s 165-mile Cohos Trail is about to get an upgrade thanks to $30,000 in grants.

According to an article on SeacoastOnline.com, the Cohos Trail Association will use the money to build new trails, improve bog bridges, and other projects. The money follows another $22,000 in funds that will be used to build a new lean-to along the trail.

The long-distance wilderness hiking trail begins at Crawford Notch and continues up to Pittsburgh, New Hampshire and the Canadian Border. For information about the trail, including suggested day hikes, section hikes, places to stay, tips on how to thru-hike it and more, visit CohosTrail.org.
