A proposal to expand the ski terrain at New Hampshire’s Mount Sunapee by 32 percent would also end up increasing the size of Mount Sunapee State Park, according to an article on WMUR.com.

Currently the park area is about 2,500 acres in size. But it could become 2,900 acres if a proposed expansion of the West Bowl is finalized.

The state’s commissioner of Resources and Economic Development said he would agree to Mount Sunapee Resort’s proposed expansion if the resort adds property it owns to the state park. In all, 410 acres would be offered to the state, and 260 acres of that would be conservation land.
