The Coast Guard helped rescue two injured hikers on the shore of Lake Champlain in Vermont on Friday, April 17, according to an article on BurlingtonFreePress.com.

Two women in their 50s were reportedly hiking near Rocky Point on Thursday, April 16 when one of them was injured when she fell roughly 60 feet down a rocky, steep embankment. Her companion was also injured when she tried to help. The women yelled for help overnight, but their calls were not heard.

A passerby heard them the next morning and called authorities. Officials determined the hikers needed to be recovered by way of boat.
