State parks give us a lot of enjoyment. And this Saturday, Massachusetts outdoors lovers get the chance to give something back to their parks.

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation is seeking people to volunteer at state parks on Saturday, April 25. It’s being called Park Serve Day, and volunteers will take on tasks that help the parks get ready for spring and summer.

Volunteers will help prepare state parks and beaches for the summer recreation season by cleaning trash, clearing trails, planting flowers and trees, painting picnic tables, and more.
