Thunder Hole – one of the most popular sites in Maine’s Acadia National Park – has reopened to the public.

The site has been closed to the public since early April while the stairs and the viewing platform were repaired.

Thunder Hole is a rock formation named for the booming sound it makes when slammed by the ocean tide.
