The massive storm that was Hurricane Sandy brought havoc and destruction to the Northeast’s coast, with damage reported from New Jersey to Maine. But in the days leading up to the storm, the rising swells presented an opportunity of a lifetime for Northeast surfers, who saw it as chance to ride some of the region’s best waves ever.
