Work is expected to begin this spring on a new 15-mile mountain bike trail system in Killington, Vermont.

According to an article on VermontJournal.com, the Killington Mountain Bike Club is working with the town of Killington to build the trail system in Gifford State Park. The project is part of a larger town-wide initiative to link Killington Resort’s amenities with the greater Killington community and nearby public lands.

The project will create 15+ miles of family-friendly mountain bike trails and help promote the town as a summer destination for tourists and outdoors enthusiasts. The decision comes on the heels of the resort’s recent announcement of plans for an aggressive expansion of its own mountain bike trail network.
