Tucked beneath the Brooklyn Bridge, with the New York City skyline in the background, is the largest outdoor bouldering facility in North America.
The facility, DUMBO Boulders, recently opened to the public. According to CityLab.com, it is a partnership between Brooklyn Bridge Park and The Cliffs, a company that operates two indoor climbing gyms in Long Island City and Westchester.
The 12-foot-tall wall—the largest outdoor bouldering structure in North America—was fashioned from stainless steel and fiberglass. It will be opened seasonally from spring until November.
