Anyone who loves gazing up at a clear, star-filled sky will want to be at Acadia National Park in Maine this weekend for the annual Acadia Night Sky Festival being held September 22 to 25.

Festival organizers say the park’s rocky coastline is one of the last pristine, star-filled night skies in the eastern United States. They say the festival, currently in its eighth year, is a celebration of Maine’s commitment to protecting starlit nights.

The festival will feature workshops, internationally-recognized speakers and hands-on experiences.
