A Connecticut River advocacy group is adopting a new name.
The Connecticut River Watershed Council has announced it will now operate under the name Connecticut River Conservancy.
The organization has a new slogan to go along with the name, according to a news release: “Clean water. Healthy habitat. Thriving communities.”
The nonprofit organization, based in Greenfield, Massachusetts, will celebrate its 65th year of advocacy on behalf of the entire Connecticut River watershed this year.
To celebrate the re-branding, Connecticut River Conservancy will host launch parties in Greenfield, at the Arts Block on Wednesday, April 12, from 4 to 7 p.m., and in Middletown, Connecticut, at the deKoven House on Tuesday, April 18, from 4 to 7 p.m.
