New York has opened six new cabins at Moreau Lake State Park, a scenic, 4,531-acre park in the town of Moreau in Saratoga County.

The new cabins will allow visitors to stay at the park during the winter, when camping is not allowed.

According to an article on PostStar.com, the cabins are heated by wood stoves, and there’s electricity and a small fridge. All cooking must be done outside at a fire circle. A “comfort station” near the cabins provides a composting bathroom, water and an outdoor sink.

During the off-season, cabins are $40 to $60 a night. During the summer, cabins are rented for a week at a time and range from $300 to $575, depending on timing and the size of the cabin.
