Officials rescued a hiker who suffered a leg injury on New Hampshire’s Mount Cube on Monday.

The hiker, Aluah Bible, 68, of Tennessee, was helped off Mount Cube Monday morning after falling and hurting his leg the previous day.

He was reportedly was hiking the Appalachian Train with three friends when he fell after summiting Mount Cube. The group of hikers were able to make it to the Hexacuba shelter, where they spent the night.

When Bible woke up Monday morning, his leg was swollen and he couldn’t walk on it. At around 7 a.m. he called 911 for help.

Rescuers hiked and used ATVs to get close to Bible, and then carried him about a half mile to an ATV, which took him to a nearby road. An ambulance then transported him to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon for treatment.
