Good news for Northeast surfers – meteorologists are predicting an active Atlantic hurricane season this year.
This week, top meteorologists released their prediction for the 2013 hurricane season, which predicted above-average activity with 18 tropical storms forecast, of which 9 will be hurricanes.
Last year, the forecast called for low activity, but nearly twice as many storms formed as had been predicted. (READ MORE)
