True again. Dave Field, author, Appalachian Trail historian and longtime member of the Maine Appalachian Trail Club, will share his unique insight about how the Appalachian Trail came to Maine, who cares for the A.T. and how the trail is protected at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, at Buchanan Alumni House, McIntire Maine Event Room, 160 College Ave., University of Maine. Doors open at 6 p.m. Book signing immediately after the talk.
