A futuristic-looking, floating park with a $130 million price tag is planned along the Hudson River at Pier 55 in New York City.

The project moved closer to becoming a reality recently when the Hudson River Park Trust unanimously approved the plan after media mogul Barry Diller and his wife, fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, pledged to donate $113 million to the project, according to an article on BusinessInsider.com.

According to the project’s plans, the park will be 186 feet from the shoreline, floating over the water on 300 mushroom-shaped columns. The plans include walking paths, gardens, and a 700-seat amphitheater. Construction is expected to be completed by 2019.
