Springfield VTSometime next summer, Vermont will open its first new state park in 20 years.

According to an article on TimesArgus.com, the park will be at the home of the late state senator Edgar May, of Springfield, Vermont. The title is expected to transfer from May’s estate to Vermont in the spring.

The 200-acre property has several buildings that are more than 100 years old, and officials say they are in need of maintenance. But it has some trails and old logging roads that are said to be perfect for recreational use.
