A road accessing trails on Vermont’s Camel’s Hump has reopened after being closed since July.

Camel’s Hump Road in Duxbury, Vermont was closed in July due to damage caused by severe weather and flooding. It was officially reopened on October 14.

The road provides access to the Monroe Trailhead on the eastern side of Camel’s Hump. Hikers can now access the upper and lower Monroe Trailhead parking lots and the winter lot.

Many dirt roads providing access to trailheads in the area were damaged during the storms and remain closed.

Visit the Green Mountain Club Trail Updates page for information on roads and trail access in the area.
