It might still be early February, but you can start booking your Maine summer camping trip today.
Maine officially opened up its reservation service for campgrounds at all its state parks yesterday. Registration for the popular Sebago Lake State Park campground began Friday, February 1.
This year, beginning July 1 through September 8, there will be no minimum length of stay rule required. The move is designed to allow more accessibility for “end-of-season” campers who only need a Friday or Saturday night (from July 1 – September 8, 2019).
There will be no fee increases for sites at the state park campgrounds for this camping season. Fees, however, do vary from campground to campground, with the highest fees for non-residents who want sites with water and electric hookups.
