Powder Ridge Mountain Park and Resort in Middlefield, Connecticut has announced that it will soon begin offering year-round skiing.

Powder Ridge officials say they will open their new 365 Synthetic Snow Park on September 2.

The park will feature a 500-foot run for skiing and riding, plus two lanes for tubing. They will also install a second Magic Carpet nearby.

Officials added that by next summer the synthetic park will stretch to the top of the ridge, which is more than 2,800 feet.
