An editorial in the Portland Press Herald slams Maine governor Paul LePage for holding up voter-approved conservation funds, saying his actions have already hindered conservation efforts and public access to land.

According to the editorial, Gov. LePage declared he wouldn’t release voter-approved bonds dating to 2009 — including $12 million for land purchases — until 2014.
