A hiker was rescued Sunday night after falling 60 feet on Vermont’s Mount Ascutney.
According to officials, a woman was hiking near Cascade Falls when she lost her footing and fell 60 feet down the mountain. Another hiker who was in the area reportedly called 911.
Several agencies responded to the incident, including high angle tactical rescue teams. The hiker was taken to the hospital, and, according to officials, her injuries were not life-threatening.
