For many outdoors enthusiasts, when winter brings hard, slippery ice to the peaks of the White Mountains it means it’s time to endure the indoors or find other places to explore until spring. But for ice climbers in New Hampshire, it’s the most wonderful time of the year.
The Whites’ epic ice climbing conditions got national exposure this weekend when the Washington Post ran an article profiling ice climbing in such New Hampshire spots as Willey’s Slide, Frankenstein Cliff and Cathedral Ledge.
