With frigid air and strong winds expected to settle into the Northeast following the recent “bomb cyclone,” meteorologists are saying it could feel like 100 degrees below zero atop Mount Washington this weekend.

According to an article on NYTimes.com, dangerously cold temperatures are expected throughout the Northeast. Parts of Maine could experience wind chills of minus 40, while parts of eastern Pennsylvania could have wind chills of 25 below.

Not surprisingly, Mount Washington is expected to be the coldest place, as powerful winds could make the air feel like 100 degrees below zero.
