Kayakers braved the whitewater and the freezing cold on New Year’s Day to take part in the annual New Year’s Day Run on the Winnipesaukee River in Franklin, New Hampshire.
Paddlers from all over New England came for the event. They say with the right gear, the cold is no problem.
