The very last small gap in the 165-mile foot path known as the Cohos Trail running the entire length of Coos County is slated to be closed on National Trails Day on Saturday, June 6, according to an article on BerlinDailySun.com.

The Cohos Trail Association is putting out the call for volunteers near and wide to descend on northern Pittsburg to help install about 80 feet of new bog bridging on the Round Pond Brook Trail. The wet seep where the double plank spans will be installed is the very bit of terrain to be bridged to complete the new bypass trail and make the long trail system complete end to end once again.
