Lonely Planet recently confirmed what most New Englanders already know: Maine is friggin’ awesome.
The travel publishing giant recently unveiled its picks for the 10 best travel destinations in the world for 2020. In doing so, they slotted Maine in at Number 4, beating out places like Argentina, Australia, Spain and China.
The article points out that Maine celebrates its bicentennial in 2020, and cities and towns throughout the state will be holding events to celebrate.
