Gerry Largay
It’s been nearly 18 months since hiker Gerry Largay vanished without a trace while hiking the Appalachian Trail in Western Maine.
The Boston Globe recently ran an article about the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Largay, an experienced outdoorswoman who was thru-hikng the AT when she vanished in July 2013.
The disappearance of Largay has confounded officials. There’s been no evidence found to suggest foul play or that she was injured or became disoriented. In fact, there’s no evidence of any kind – no backpack, no trekking poles, no orange whistle that she kept close at hand.
