Bone FrogAmong a sea of new obstacle races popping up all the time, a new one is starting to make waves in the Northeast. And it looks pretty legit.

The Bone Frog Challenge will be held in Charlemont, Massachusetts for the second time on May 17. The Challenge features 36 obstacles spread out over 9 to 12 miles. It also features a sprint option of 3 to 4 miles.

And these aren’t just any obstacles. The Challenge was created by Navy Seals, and the course features quality obstacles designed to challenge racers much the same way Navy Seals are challenged. Bone Frog officials promise, “You will get muddy. You will get beat up. You will get exhausted.” They also say you will learn what it means to get “wet and sandy,” just like they were at BUDS.

If you need more convincing about the quality of the event, consider that 2-time World’s Toughest Mudder Junyong Pak and women’s World’s Toughest Mudder winner and reigning Spartan Beast World Champion Amelia Boone will be competing at this event.
