New York State Parks announced yesterday that they have opened newly-built cabins and several recently renovated cabins at state parks in the Ithaca, New York area.

The new cabins at Buttermilk Falls State Park and renovated cabins at Robert Treman State Park were completed as part of a $90 million 2020 Parks Initiative undertaken by the state’s governor.

Campers now have 14 cabins available at Buttermilk Falls State Park and seven cabins at Robert Treman State Park.

The renovated cabins at Treman feature upgraded electrical service and energy efficient lighting, plus insulation, new roofing and baseboard electric heat.

Buttermilk’s new 150-square-foot cabins offer a more traditional camping experience, with no running water or electricity.
