If you’re not nursing a nasty hangover on New Year’s Day (or even if you are), a great way to spend the day is starting your year off right with a great hike. And New Hampshire is making it easy to do that by offering free entry to all New Hampshire state parks on January 1.
Officials will even be hosting organized First Day Hikes at Monadnock State Park, Wentworth-Coolidge Mansion State Historic Site and Weeks State Park (a dog-friendly hike).
