It might be the middle of summer, but ski resorts throughout the Northeast are busy preparing for the upcoming ski season.
In New York’s Catskill Mountains, the folks at Hunter Mountain Ski Resort are upgrading their Kaatskill Flyer chairlift. Their new, 6-person lift will be able to get 2,400 people up the mountain each hour with a ride time of just over 3 minutes.
The new lift is part of Hunter Mountain’s $9 million expansion project for the upcoming 2018-19 season. In addition to the new lift, the expansion includes five new trails, a new entrance and a new parking area.
