Paddlers will soon come together in western Pennsylvania to celebrate their love of solo canoeing.
The annual Western Pennsylvania Solo Canoe Rendezvous will be held Friday, June 1 to Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Coopers Lake Campground in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.
The event is a gathering of solo canoe enthusiasts held each year on the first weekend of June. It features manufacturers and designers of solo canoes with demo models of their boats available for test-paddling.
It also features freestyle paddling demonstrations, programs about canoe design and construction, plus food and live entertainment.
Everyone is encouraged to bring their own solo craft, and many classic solo canoes are expected to be on display at the event.
