An exciting 15-mile trail race over the summit of New Hampshire’s scenic Mount Chocorua is coming up in June.

The Chocorua Mountain Race will be held Saturday, June 16 at 9 a.m. The deadline to register is Friday, June 1.

The lollipop course begins and ends on a half-mile of dirt road. After the road, runners encounter rolling doubletrack as they make their way to the Forest Service trailhead. They then make an arduous loop over the 3,478-foot summit of Mount Chocorua on trails filled with rocks, roots, boulders, steep ledges and even a handful of brooks filled with frigid mountain water to wade across.

After getting off the mountain, racers then make their way back to dirt road via single and doubletrack trails.
