PORTLAND PRESS HERALD: Sugarloaf Mountain Resort said it would invest $2.9 million in new snowmaking technology, as well as new skiing terrain and a 30-person outdoor hot tub at the Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel.
The bulk of the $2.9 million in improvements will go toward 200 new energy-efficient snowmaking machines. The snow guns are able to produce the same amount of snow as a traditional snow gun, while using 30-to-40-percent less compressed air, Sugarloaf said. (READ MORE)
