In a few weeks, runners in the Adirondacks will tackle what is not only the Northeast’s longest, most scenic relay race, but also its tastiest.

The third annual Peak to Brew Relay Race has teams of 6 to 12 runners tackle a scenic course of more than 220 miles through the heart of New York’s Adirondack State Park.

The race starts at the summit of Whiteface Mountain and finishes at Saranac Brewery, where they can enjoy some of the region’s best craft beer. This year’s race takes place August 10 and 11.

The course is divided into 42 unique legs, with each team using support vans along the way. The race format offers a wide range of leg distances for both ultra and novice runners to enjoy.
