The Worcester Telegram this week featured an excellent article about the ups and downs of winter hiking by Appalachian Mountain Club hiker Dave Greenslit.
Greenslit, an experienced hiker, talks about his disappointment upon being turned away from an AMC Worcester Chapter winter trip for not having enough winter hiking experience. He goes on to describe what he did to learn the skills of winter hiking and the challenges it presents. Check out the article here.
