Mount Washington SummitRescue crews responded to two separate incidents on New Hampshire’s Mount Washington on Monday night (August 11).

A 58-year-old man reportedly suffered a medical emergency while descending the Jewell Trail. Rescuers carried him roughly a half of a mile to the trailhead, where he was taken to a local hospital.

Around the same time, rescuers aided a 27-year-old woman who suffered a diabetic emergency while descending the Tuckerman Ravine Trail. Rescuers carried her roughly a mile-and-a-half to the Pinkham Notch Visitors Center, and she was then taken to a local hospital.
