Volunteers recently helped clean up vulgar and racist graffiti that had proliferated on the rock faces of Mount Tom in western Massachusetts.

According to an article on GazetteNet.com, yoga studio owner Naima Workman has enjoyed morning hikes on the mountain in Easthampton, Massachusetts, for the last nine years. Upset at the amount of graffiti on the mountain, Workman set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds to help get rid of the graffiti.

On a recent weekend, using an expensive portable pressure washer and biodegradable solvents that wouldn’t harm the basalt rock, Workman and a team of volunteers tackled the Mount Tom graffiti.
