Killington GondolaA Vermont woman who was trapped in a gondola on Vermont’s Killington Peak for six hours in 2011 was recently awarded $750,000 by a jury.

The woman had been seeking $500,000, but the jury awarded her more for suffering and future medical expenses, according to an article on WCAX.com.

In October 2011, the woman hiked up Killington Peak and then decided to take the gondola down late in the day. When bad weather kicked up, Killington officials shut the gondola down, and it was six hours before they found her.

The woman’s suit claims she suffered mild hypothermia and has suffered from severe PTSD.
