If you’re a skier or snowboarder who loved all the snow the region received last winter, you’ll be happy about this. If you’re someone who spent last winter thinking “This is probably what Hell is like,” brace yourself.
In the wake of last winter’s record snow and cold, the Old Farmer’s Almanac, published in Concord, New Hampshire, is predicting another extremely cold and snowy winter for the Northeast.
According to an article on CBS Boston, the Almanac says above-normal snow and below-normal temperatures are in store for New England.
The weather predictions are based on a secret formula that founder Robert B. Thomas designed using solar cycles, climatology and meteorology. Forecasts emphasize how much temperature and precipitation will deviate from 30-year averages compiled by government agencies.
