New York trail runner Jan Wellford will try to summit 24 Adirondack high peaks in 24 hours during Labor Day Weekend, September 5 – 7.
Wellford is running the peaks to raise money for 46 Climbs for Suicide Prevention, an organization that raises money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s research, education and prevention initiatives through mountain climbing.
Wellford’s previous best is 21 peaks in 22.5 hours, which he did in 2007.
