Registration for the fifth annual Vermont Climbing Festival is scheduled to open to the public on Wednesday, July 10.

This year’s festival will take place from Friday, September 27 through Sunday, September 29 in Waterbury, Vermont, and on the cliffs of Bolton.

The weekend will include camping, climbing, workshops, clinics, competitions, speakers, music, and more. All proceeds from the event go toward CRAG Vermont and the organization’s work to protect and preserve climbing in the state.

Friday’s events include clinics, a social, a story hour, and a campfire. Saturday will feature a bouldering competition and several workshops on climbing geology, how to build a medkit, tree identification for climbers, and more, and a presentation from keynote speaker legendary climber Mark Synnott. Sunday will feature more clinics, the CRAG Vermont Stewardship Project, and yoga.
