Shawnee Peak
– In Bridgton, Shawnee has a freestyle terrain park, 40 trails and 19 night trails, the most night skiing in northern New England.
Sugarloaf
– Maine’s second-highest peak at 4,237 feet, it has the only lift-serviced above-treeline skiing in the East. It features 133 trails and 15 lifts, plus two pipes and two terrain parks.
Sunday River
In Bethel, Maine, this resort features 128 trails spread across eight interconnected mountain peaks, plus five parks and two pipes.
Titcomb Mountain – Fifteen alpine trails for all levels in West Farmington.

MASSACHUSETTS

Berkshire East – Located just off the scenic Mohawk Trail, Berkshire offers 45 trails from beginner to extreme.
Blandford Ski Area – Twenty two trails west of Springfield.
Blue Hills Ski Area – Just outside Boston, Blue Hills is run by Ragged Mountain Resort.
Bousquet Ski Resort – Year-round resort in Pittsfield, with skiing and snowboarding in winter, water slides, go-carts and other rides in summer.
Bradford – Thirteen trails in Haverhill, just north of Boston.
Butternut – Features 22 trails and a terrain park in Great Barrington.
Catamount Ski Area – Thirty-two trails, including the steepest run in the Berkshires, plus a halfpipe, terrain park and junior jib park.
Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort – Hancock resort featuring 44 trails.
Nashoba Valley – A terrain park, snow-tubing park and more than a dozen trails in Westford.

Attitash
– In Mount Washington Valley, this resort has 70 trails and glades, plus a superpipe and terrain park.
Black Mountain – The states’s oldest ski resort sits in the village of Jackson.
Bretton Woods – More than 100 trails and glades on 434 acres.
Cannon Mountain Ski Area – In Franconia Notch State Park, Cannon has 55 trails over 165 acres.
Cranmore Mountain – Forty trails and six glades in North Conway.
Crotched Mountain Ski Resort – Trails and terrain park in Bennington.

Gunstock Ski Area

King Pine Ski Area
– In East Madison, King Pine has 16 trails, five lifts, easy-to-navigate terrain and a spacious base lodge. Eighty percent of the terrain is designed for beginner and intermediate skiers and riders.
Loon Mountain

Ascutney Mountain Resort
– In Brownsville, this resort has 56 trails for skiing and snowboarding. Plus cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowtubing and more.
Bolton Valley
-Boasts 64 trails covering 165 acres, plus night skiing and a 1,500-foot lighted terrain park.
Bromley Mountain
– Just minutes from Manchester, in 2004 Ski Magazine named this resort North America’s top resort for family programs.
Burke Mountain Ski Area
– In East Burke, this resort has 45 trails and glades on 250acres, plus three terrain parks.
Cochran’s Ski Area
– The closest ski area to Burlington has three lifts and eight trails on 350 vertical feet.
Jay Peak Resort
– In Jay, the resort has a huge 2,000-foot vertical glade system and the only aerial tram in the state.
Killington Resort
– The state’s largest ski resort stretches across seven mountains and features 200 trails and 33 lifts. The terrain includes wide-open groomed cruisers, narrow classic New England runs, moguls, steeps, and trees. The resort also has six terrain parks and a 430-foot long Superpipe.
Mad River Glen – In Waitsville, Mad River has some of the most challenging skiing in the East, if not the most challenging. It has 20 expert trails, plus 24 novice and intermediate trails. It also bills itself as the Telemark Mecca.

Magic Mountain – Resort in Londonberry with 33 trails, including the 8575-foot run Magic Carpet.
Mount Snow – Encompassing four mountain areas in West Dover, Mount Snow has 106 trails, plus three terrain parks, a tubing park and a competition superpipe.
Okemo Mountain Resort
– In Ludlow, Okemo boasts 117 slopes, trails and glades over five mountain areas. The resort also has two pipes and six parks.
Smuggler’s Notch
– Spread over three mountains, Smuggler’s has 78 trailsand 58 kilometers of cross-country and snowshoe trails.
Stowe Mountain Resort
– With 48 trails, Stowe has the longest average trail length in New England.
Stratton Mountain
– Besides having dozens of trails, Stratton has five different terrain parks covering 45 acres.
Sugarbush Resort
– This resort in Warren has 111 trails over six peaks, plus a terrain park and a Superpipe.
Suicide Six

CLUBS AND GROUPS

CONNECTICUT

Danbury Ski Club Club has over 600 members who participate in downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, telemark skiing, snowshoeing, and many other winter activities. When the snow melts, they also have picnics, parties, hiking, biking, SCUBA diving, whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, volleyball, softball, rollerblading, golf, camping, happy hours and other activities.
Meriden Ski Club
They promote safe skiing by providing free ski lessons for members. They also offer a number of organized weekend ski trips and Sunday bus trips during the ski season.
Ski Bears of Connecticut
The Ski Bears are a year-round ski, snowboard and social club based in Norwalk. They organize several weekend ski trips in the Northeast as well as week long trips out West, to Canada and Europe.
Sterling Ski Club
Sterling is a family-friendly ski and sports club located in Stratford. Their two Vermont lodges are available to all members and their guests. The club was was founded in 1937 and is the one of the oldest ski clubs in Connecticut, boasting over 200 members.

MAINE

Chisholm Ski ClubChisholm is located at Black Mountain of Maine Ski Area in Rumford.
Maine Handicapped Skiing
– This group provides year-round education and training for individuals with physical disabilities in order to develop skills and provide enjoyment through active recreation.

MASSACHUSETTS

Boston Ski Party The Boston Ski Party’s mission is to promote the sport of skiing and the enjoyment of winter sports to the African American community in Boston. The Ski Club began in 1974 and organizes ski trips to destinations here in New England and popular locations in the US and Canada.

Worcester Ski Club
Promotes skiing in the Worcester, Massachusetts, area. The club meets the needs of outdoor enthusiasts by maintaining a lodge in Wilmington, Vermont, within minutes of Mount Snow, Haystack, Stratton, Bromley and farther north, Killington, Okemo and more.

NEW HAMPSHIRE

Brettl-Hupfers Ski and Sports ClubThe Brettl-Hupfers Ski and Sports Club is a group of men and women united by friendship and a love for skiing, snowboarding, hiking, canoeing, and other outdoor sports year round.
Ford Sayre Ski Club
The Ford K. Sayre Memorial Ski Council serves skiers and children of the Upper Connecticut River Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. The Council traces its beginnings to Ford and Peggy Sayre, skiing pioneers who began offering skiing lessons to children in 1936. Since that time, the program has expanded to serve over 500 children of all abilities and interests.
Innitou Ski Runners
The Innitou Ski Club is just minutes away from several ski areas in the greater Mt. Washington Valley.
Makusue Ski Club
Located in North Conway, the club has its own lodge that is open to members and their guests year round. Throughout the year, the membership enjoys skiing, boarding, hiking, biking and other outdoor activities.
New Hampshire Ski Club
A year-round non-profit activity club with a diverse membership of singles, couples, and families.
Randolph Ski Club
Randolph members enjoy the White Mountain region of New Hampshire year round. Located in North Conway, they are minutes away from some of the best ski areas in the Northeast. From hiking and biking in the summer, to alpine and cross country skiing in the winter, there is always plenty to see and do.
S-Kimos Ski Club
They are located in the White Mountains in Jackson, near many popular ski areas such as Wildcat and Attitash, and less than an hour from both Sunday River and Bretton Woods. For those into cross-country, Jackson Ski Touring is only a short walk from the house. There are also many social activities, with inter-club parties on weekends throughout the ski season.
Seacoast Ski Club
The Seacoast Ski Club is a year-round club which sponsors a variety of sports and social activities.
Ski-Bees Ski Club
The club provides a friendly environment to meet people, have fun, party, and do things.Their lodge is centrally located in the Mount Washington Valley. Just down the road (less than a mile) is Mount Cranmore. Attitash/Bear Peak, Bretton Woods, Black Mountain, Wildcat, and Shawnee Peak ski resorts are all within 30 minutes. Sunday River is about 75 minutes away. For cross-country skiers, Jackson X-Country Ski Foundation, Great Glen Trails, Whitaker Woods, and Pinkham Notch Trails are all nearby.
Ski Wheelers Ski Club
The Ski Wheelers is one of the largest social and skiing clubs in New Hampshire. Most members are single from the Boston area and are ages 25 and up. The club is designed primarily for single adults. There is also a limited number of openings for married individuals.
Wedeln Ski Club
Considered to be one of the most active clubs in the Mt. Washington Valley, Wedelns enjoy all four seasons. In the winter, skiing (both XC and downhill), snowboarding and winter hiking are the prominent sports. During the warmer months, canoeing, hiking, biking, and golf prevail.

RHODE ISLAND

VERMONT

Mount Mansfield Ski and Snowboard ClubWhile ski and snowboard competition is a major focus of the club, they also invite recreational skiers and riders to become an active part of their organization. General Membership allows you full access to their private ski-in, ski-out clubhouse at the base of Big Spruce, discounts on Stowe lift tickets, discounts at shops, restaurants, and lodging properties, as well as an open invitation to many outings and get-togethers such as barbecues and ski trips.

North American Telemark Organization – North American Telemark Organization offers the most complete Telemark and Backcountry skiing instruction in North America. Their telemark instructional clinics, workshops, camps, and adventure tours are offered from Maine to Alaska.
