Officials in New Jersey are hoping to breathe new life into a stalled plan to create a 55-mile multi-use trail.
The Capital to Coast Trail is a proposed 55-mile-long multi-use network that, once complete, will run from Trenton to the borough of Manasquan on the coast.
After plans got off to a strong start back in 2000, work on the trail has slowed. According to an article on JerseyShoreOnline.com, local officials stopped applying for grants and money for the project stopped coming in. To date, only roughly 12 percent of the trail has been completed.
But now officials are hoping to regain momentum for the trail.
