Later this month, a group of runners in Massachusetts will take on the challenge of running for an agonizing 24 hours straight.
The annual Ultra Around the Lake – a 24-hour race – will be held July 24 and 25 at Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, Massachusetts.
The event also features 12-hour, marathon and relay race options.
Runners will circle a scenic, flat 3.16-mile loop around the lake, following sidewalks and paths.
The deadline to register is Friday, July 17.
