A $2.35 million conservation deal has saved a heart-shaped island in Maine from development.
The Maine Coast Heritage Trust announced it purchased the 22-acre island in Brooksville, thanks in part to $1.5 million in grants and donations that were secured in a matter of weeks. (READ MORE)
