A hiker was seriously injured after falling 25 feet onto a rocky area in Harpswell, Maine last week.
According to local officials, a woman was hiking along Harpswell’s Cliff Trail on Thursday, October 10 when she fell from a cliff above Long Reach, landing on a rocky intertidal area.
Emergency personnel received a report of the incident shortly after noon and responded to the scene.
Because of her location, an airboat was used to bring a paramedic and medical supplies to the injured hiker.
The hikers was loaded onto the airboat and transported back to Princes Point Landing in Brunswick where an ambulance was waiting.
